Episode 30: How to be Awesome at Networking

This week we talk about the importance of networking, to get ahead in your career and in life. We offer tips and suggestions for networking opportunities and talk about our recent experience networking at Podcamp.

Sondra also talks about the possibilities of turning online dating into a networking opportunity, which basically turns into a debate between Kim and Sondra over whether or not internet stalking a potential date is creepy or necessary information gathering. What do you think?

We also have a very special guest, who we are interviewing as a result of the networking we did at Podcamp! Stephanie Avery is an artist and the first recipient of the Toronto Awesome Foundation Grant! $1000 dollars is awarded each month to an awesome project. Check out the Awesome Foundation website to see if there is a branch in your city!

Here is an article from The Toronto Star about Steph’s project. If you would like to get in touch with Stephanie and volunteer your roof for her project, you can contact her at stephanievonawesome@gmail.com Her website for this project should be online soon as well at ConnectTheTdots.ca
